For years, the Thunderians have lived in the kingdom of Thundera. After Thundera is attacked and destroyed, a small band of survivors, led by the heir to the throne Lion-O (who wields the powerful Sword of Omens), flees to find the Book of Omens, which is said to have the knowledge needed to defeat Mumm-Ra.
